Strengthening AI capacity in the Arab States.
UNESCO and partners launch the Arabic version of the MOOC “AI and Digital Transformation in Government” . Inspiring and enabling the next generation of governments lies at the heart of the World Governments Summit (WGS) . In support of this vision, UNESCO, University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School and the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), a member of SPARK Alliance, have joined forces to localize the free online course AI and Digital Transformation in Government into Arabic. Aligned with the Summit’s focus on future-ready governance , the Arabic version of the course was officially launched on 4 February 2026 during the WGS in Dubai. With the public sector employing a significant share of the workforce across the Arab States, strengthening AI and digital transformation capacities among civil servants is a strategic priority.
