Strengthening AI capacity in the Arab States.
UNESCO and partners launch the Arabic version of the MOOC “AI and Digital Transformation in Government”. Inspiring and enabling the next generation of governments lies at the heart of the World Governments Summit (WGS). In support of this vision, UNESCO, University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School and the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), a member of SPARK Alliance, have joined forces to localize the free online course AI and Digital Transformation in Government into Arabic. Aligned with the Summit’s focus on future-ready governance, the Arabic version of the course was officially launched on 4 February 2026 during the WGS in Dubai.
With the public sector employing a significant share of the workforce across the Arab States, strengthening AI and digital transformation capacities among civil servants is a strategic priority. By making the course AI and Digital Transformation in Government available in Arabic, UNESCO and its partners reaffirm their commitment to inclusive, accessible, and human-centred capacity building.
The Arabic version of the course is open for registration from 4 February 2026, supporting civil servants, policymakers, and public-sector leaders in navigating AI responsibly, and in shaping digital transformation that serves the public interest.
